Will they ever be able to scan my brain and give accurate diagnoses.

I'm diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome, OCD and ADHD, but I feel like there's something more to it. It would be so much easier to get a diagnose through some kind of brain scan. Are we close to this technology?

The Doctor in "Star Trek Voyager" May be of help. You may want to make an appointment with him.

That made me giglle.

I'm kinda hoping there never is a brain scan or dna testing that says a person has x mental health issue/illness. I'm actually someone that is really critical of the emphasis on brain scans to understand mental health, especially critical of the money being spent on it when mental health resources that could help people now are so poorly funded.

What if we had that technology? Would it be used correctly, would it be used to segregate peoople? I hear that you want to understand yourself better and know as much as you can and I think that's great. Just when it comes to the brain scan thing I think we should be careful what we ask for!!!

I've had some brain scans and they've shown as "normal." Guess technology needs to catch up, lol.

They often do brain scans to rule out other things. I found this article interesting >>>> Is it Bipolar or Depression? New Brain Scan May Have the Answer | Psych Central News So... medical technology is catching up but I don't think emotions and psychological issues can be completely dealt with by machines!
