I Should probably go to a psychiatrist and actually get diagnosed...pretty sure i have Anxiety (GAD, Social, Specific: Something like that) a small bit of OCD and my mom tells me sometimes that she thinks i have autism (she works with high schoolers with autism so she would know)...just don't really know how to tell my parents/family/friends that i want to go to a psychiatrist...

Are you sure you need a psychiatrist? "Autism" may mean you are just smart.

It sounds to me like you have reason within yourself to see a psychiatrist for some sort of assessment / screening in order to establish whether your concerns would meet the criteria for a diagnosis in the areas that you have mentioned.

Because if you are correct on any of them, it can help to put a positive treatment plan in place for you.

I'd suggest thinking about the timing of when you speak to them. So in other words, I wouldn't be bringing it up whilst everyones watching the TV

You have got your point across in this post pretty effectively and I think that's all you need to tell them really that you have a desire to see a psychiatrist and they may ask you some questions and I'm quite sure you'll be able to answer them because you seem very sensible to me.

Let us know how all of this works out.
