So I have applied for disability about a month ago. I have major recurrent depression, generalized anxiety disorder, and ADHD. I have spoken to two law firm, one pretty extensively. They only take cases they think they can win and they want to represent me. They said I have a pretty good case. My question is, should I hire an attorney to represent me now and speed up the process? Or should I wait until I first get denied? Because I know you pretty much always get denied at the beginning.

I would wait until you are denied. Even then, if possible, only hire an attorney that only collects if you win. I don't know if you can do that with disability lawyers or not.

wait. They won't have any effect on the current application being processed, and you need to know basis for denial to refute it
Thanks for this!

They said if I hire them now, that I have a 50% chance of not getting denied right away. And yeah they only collect if I win

If you already filed there is no need or way to involve an attorney at this point. You submitted the information already, so you need to wait for a response.

If you are denied then you can bring one on board if need be.

I don't know that I would trust someone that wanted me to hire them right away.

Yea...I used an attorney when I got denied. He only does disability claims when someone is denied and his fees are taken from your pay.
