I constantly misplace and forget important things. I can't keep track of conversations anymore, and I always feel the need to multitaske all the time. I can't watch long youtube videos or movies anymore. I always need to check messages and play something at the same time. It's really frustrating, because I've stopped watching my favorite Youtubers. It's been going on for some months now, and I'm getting tired of it.

What you're describing sounds like ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). There's a forum for it here on PC. Lots of people also get these symptoms when they are having anxiety or depression, even if they might not qualify for an official ADHD diagnosis.
I have been experiencing some of these same problems for the past few months and have been looking at some of the suggestions and tools for coping for ADHD. People with an official diagnosis often take medication for the disorder, but there are lots of non-medical tools to use to help gain control of the symptoms. One of the "helpful hints" is DO NOT TRY TO MULTI-TASK when you're having problems. ![]() Another is to have ONE PLACE to keep important items (one place for each item, not necessarily to put them all in one place.) This is something I have always done with things like keys. It takes a little while to develop this habit, but it's well worth the effort. When I was having so many problems a couple of months ago, I wasn't feeling unpleasant anxiety exactly, but my brain felt very "revved up" like it wanted to operate at high speed, but then everything would just get overwhelming. I read the book "Change Your Brain, Change Your Life" and found some good tips in it for dealing with ADHD symptoms. I am also considering buying the book "Organizing Solutions for People With ADHD". I hope that something here will be helpful or give you an idea. |

Stress can make me very forgetful sometimes. Which sometimes compounds the stress.
