There have been a few threads from people finding it difficult making acquaintances. Several of them are unsure of getting close when they crave solitude.

My problem seems to be the opposite. I crave being surrounded by people. There was a time I was but moved and find myself alone. I've made a hard effort to meet people. I've met several. But I need to go out. I need a paddling friend. I need people to hike with. The occasional coffee date is great but I want to DO stuff. I want to go out. Listen to music, enjoy a drink.

Am I alone feeling this?

I like getting out and doing stuff too. I hate sitting around talking endlessly. I drives me nuts.
