I have people in my life who are driving me crazy. They would rather focus on me than focus on their own lives, mental health and emotions/behaviors. They are negatively obsessed with me They would be stalkers, but i know them. Cannot seem to shake them off me. They also negatively retell stories of me, and completely make stuff up. They say they are helpful to me. I tell them to get away and stay away from me, but they will not. Most people when you say leave me alone, you are not helpful too me at all, your are hurting me, or I need a brake would stop. Not these people. What on earth is wrong with these people?

here in the USA it is not a mental disorder for friends and family to do what you posted, in some locations\USA states if told to stop and they dont its a legal issue of harassment, and depending upon many situations it can also fall into legal issues of defamation and slander crimes.

my suggestion is to contact a legal aid (lawyer\police\...) they will help you get clear on the laws in your location and help you to get a restraining order (court order that says you and they can not be with in 500 feet of each other) then if they continue to harass or approach you, they can be arrested and prosecuted.
