There's a book called 48 Days to the Work You Love by Dan Miller. I've not read it, but it's supposed to be good from what I hear.

I started school at 60 (because I won a scholarship when I wrote about my life). I never cared much for school in high school; I was/am a free-spirit..dancer, singer, writer, poet, etc.....been going for 9 years! I know that I was meant to be a dancer (ballet); as my first memory was of loving it; had no money or help and major poverty, fatherlessness and abuse, so took the only way out....the army...it saved my life. Every year at the University where I work (and attend school) I get to dance in a faculty/staff program...for a few moments, I am who I really am.
