Check with your physician, and if he or she says it's okay then start an exercise program.

How do you know the pains you are having are related to depression? The problem you are describing can have several different causes. I agree with kindness, you should talk to a doctor.

I have been having a strange stabbing pain in my leg for many years which was always coinciding with stress, I thought it was some kind of a nervous tic. It turned out to be a benign nerve tumor and the pain was gone after I had it resected.

have you considered aromatherapy? Peppermint works well for me. Yes I'm sure a great deal of it the positive effect is 'in my head' but I think there is also something actually to it too.

Another thing you might try is taking magnesium.

Always check with your doctor before taking anything recommended by someone on the internet.

Pain can be associated with depression or other MI. If it is, it should get better as you feel better. As you improve you will probably feel more like moving around and getting some exercise. If it is a new condition and does not improve with mood, be sure to get examined by your doctor for a diagnosis.
