Hey so for a while now I've noticed that my mind likes to either forget completely what I was doing or about to say or term and it's startling.

I know it's normal to loose your train of thought once in a while but it's been happening so frequently that I'm starting to get concerned.

I also slur a bit in my words sometimes which makes me wonder: would I have a concussion? Although how? I don't know.

If anyone has any suggestions let me know

Thanks.

Have you had a physical done to rule out any physical issues? That would be a start.

Hello camerafriendly: I see this is your first post here on PC. So... welcome to PsychCentral… from the Skeezyks! I hope you find the time you spend here to be of benefit.

With regard to your concerns, I don't know how old you are. I'm an older person. And I certainly lose my train of thought on a regular basis. I also struggle with anxiety. And I think that tends to add to the tendency. However, the slurring of words is another matter. It would probably make sense to have yourself checked out by a physician. I presume you'd know if you had hit your head hard enough to cause a concussion.

PsychCentral is a great place to get information as well as support for mental health issues. There are many knowledgeable & caring members here. The more you post, & reply to other members’ posts, the more a part of the community you will become. Plus there are social groups you can join & chat rooms where you’ll be able to connect with other PC members in real time (once your first 5 posts have been reviewed & approved.) Lots of great stuff! So please keep posting!

I'm having that too. Losing trains of thought, forgetting what I wanted to look at, now I've forgotten what I just wanted to say. There is something wrong with me. This just recently got so bad, in maybe the past 5 months, I think.

Please see your doctor. There are various potential causes for these symptoms and they can help you. Good luck.
