First I would like to apologize for no commas or periods lol I just wrote How do I bring up my sexuality to my T. I'm in CBT therapy btw.. So I've been doing a self awareness homework on my self esteem.. Well yesterday I had therapy we was suppose talk about topic (A) question was .. The main things that keep me from feel good: I said my childhood not being a college graduate being put down just being me Not being where I want to be in life and also I struggle with my sexuality she totally skip part (A) and I'm thing because she dose Christian therapy also even though I'm not there for that but do you guys think she avoided part (A) because my same sex issue and attraction? Should I just ask her why didn't we go over this part and straight to (B) do she the feel like this is not important. Do she not know how to deal with it?... Now I feel like maybe she did it on purpose to avoid it. Should I bring this up? The session before the one yesterday she was like we have a lot to talked about and I notice when she read my answers she said everything but my sexual orintation ... At the I notice she didn't bring it up and I was like and yeah.. My sexual orintation she was like okay... Not rude... But u know..Why skip topic (A)

I am not her so I can't know what she was thinking but perhaps she wanted to talk about the issues that seemed to her as more distressing. Do you have input to what you want to discuss at each session or is it rather random?

I do have input and she did say yesterday I can use my time as I choose because I was very emotional and was reliving past events you know talking about them can be hard. My sexual orientation is affecting my 7 year relationship with my child farther due to the fact I have desires for women and I feel this comfort from women and safeness that I don't feel with men due to issue with my father.

You may benefit from a different therapist. CBT corrects/changes behaviors and ways of thinking, I believe. Exploring your sexuality isn't really CBT territory. A secular therapist would be better, too, IMO.

You're welcome! You know best, but I think a more open-minded therapist will help you more. Do what works for you.
