I feel alone and as if no one understands me. My adoptive mother hurts me emotionally she uses words to bring me down i.e. saying im nothing, saying i always mess up everything, calling me a liar the other day about something i was telling the truth about. She doesnt care about me or at least she acts that way It messes me up alot inside bc i care about her and i dont want it to be this way. She treats her biological children with love but is fake around me. So go cope ive been self harming for over a year but its been getting worse sense july. And when she found out like a week ago i dont think she really gives a damn bc she sorta made a joke about it saying oh your getting mad lets hope u dont cut.
Any help Ive been really hurt...

Hello DaX11: I'm sorry you are being treated so poorly. There's really no excuse for how your adoptive mother is treating you. Unfortunately, there may be little you can do to change her either. Perhaps other members, here on PC, will have some suggestions.

I don't know if you see a counselor or therapist, or if you are in a position to do so. But, from my perspective, having someone you can talk to about what you are experiencing, is probably something that would be important in your situation. A counselor or therapist could also possibly help you to figure out ways to work around your adoptive mother's negative attitude & comments.

Beyond that, hopefully, being here on PC can be of some comfort & support as well. Sometimes just writing about what you are experiencing, & reading other members' replies, can be helpful.
