My daughter is going through a divorce and their daughter is 4. I have noticed over the past year some odd behavior from the father. My granddaughter had her finger in her nose, I gentle moved her hand down and said fingers out of your nose if you need a tissue ask for one. Her father also said fingers out and then he reached over and put HIS finger up her nose. He has done this in my presence several times. I think this behavior is so odd. Then yesterday while we were FaceTiming she was happy telling me about her day then he reached over and pinched / squeezed her thigh. She jump, looked at him with those eyes of why are you my dad hurting me? She said ouch daddy that hurt, he laughed and squeeze again and said, I am a crab. He squeezed so hard it left a mark. How do I handle this? The divorce and custody discussion is in process and I am not just reacting because of that, I am very concerned and bothered by his behavior. Any thoughts? Thank you.

have you thought of contacting child and protective services? Has there been a social worker appointed to advocate on behalf of the child during the divorce? Have you thought of making your own submissions before the court?
Document these things in a journal. |

There will be a child advocate appointed but this has not happened yet but when finally appointed I will bring to their attention. A journal is also a good idea and will do. Thank you for your input, I feel like some might think I am just a worried grandmother / mom but I have never seen an adult act like this before and am thankful that others may see concern.
