My psych doctor has never told me my diagnoisis. SSD requested a letter from him my therapist was terminated becuase of me. She wrote a letter to the court for my divorce. She said I was unable to work because of a reduction and reintroduction of paxil. My life has changed forever because of this to many things to list she was convinced this really did happen. It's been a year I'm worse now because I lost my hearing but have most of it back on the right side but not my left is almost deaf. this was caused by fluid behind my ears. I have spent 80% of the last year in a dark room with my eyes closed. Missed a lot of appointments what could i have. My meds are 20mg Fluoxetine, 40mg paroxetine, 20mg 3 times a day Adderall, 1mg 2 times a day alprazolam, what did he tell them to be denied ssd

I would ask the psychiatrist. If he seems unwilling, ask him the purpose of that. So too try to discuss with him why he thinks your disability assistance (is that what SSD is?) was denied.

You can ask your family doctor this too as both your physical health and mental health end up in the same records. S/he will know.

I am serious about getting the courage to ask him. The first time around I was in hospital for 5 days and wasn't given a diagnosis. I didn't ask. Frankly, I didn't want to rock the boat. I wsn't very assertive then. I took my medication for months before I had a second breakdown and was hospitalized for a month. This time it was only from what the pharmacist told me that made me realize the diagnosis (bipolar).

I get the not wishing to ask things. I found it uncomfortable myself. Yet, once I finally did ask to talk about the diagnosis things suddenly came much easier. I only wish I was able to advocate for myself earlier.

And hence my suggestion you come right out and ask about the denial for assistance. What is the missing part in your health that caused him to feel you are okay to work? Whatever the case, ask him then about what you can do to work on being that person he thinks you are who he thinks is ready for employment.

Yes it is the only way to find out. What is really strange is my therapist actually asked me what I thought my diagnose is. I said clinical depression, anxiety associated with panic attacks because my family doctor diagnosed me with anxiety with assocaited panic attacks in 2003. That was the start of paxil and zanax treatment. she never said anything until my last appiontment she said I had early onset dementia from the years of taking alprazolam. or it was more like they think that and need to plan a taper. the last taper I did was fluoxetine and he told me to just stop taking it, I refused and said it had to be slower 3 months later i was off it he called me at home and told me to start taking it agian because i seemed confused . so eyesclosed thanks u
