My therapist got me a care coordinator. At first it was good. But as time went on I felt she was talking to me unethically. Today was the last straw!
Because I have bipolar depression, yes I can get upset. And I am upset, rightly so. The care coordinator calls. Yes, I missed two appointments. But yes, Im taking my meds. However, because of other things going on in my life, I am very upset! But I found out today that she called a certain person to let them know what's going on, and that I have an appointment tomorrow. I didn't appreciate her informing that person. So I called the coordinator, that I didn't appreciate it, and "I want him removed from my contacts." She said I was being demanding. I was not. Then she began telling me, like a mother (she's old enough to be my daughter) to tell me how to talk. I told her I do not appreciate her talking to me like I'm a child. She asked me if I'll be at the appointment tomorrow, and I said I will, and I will. And I hung up. Next thing I knew two cops are knocking at my door! She called 911, saying I didn't take my meds for 2 weeks!!! The ***** lied!!! But when EMS came they talked with me and decided there was no need to take me out. But if she think I was upset then, she has no idea what's awaiting her tomorrow!!!! And by the time tomorrow is over, she'll be reported! And as far as I'm concerned, she's FIRED!!!! |

My health insurer offered to hook me up with this sort of person a few years ago. I declined. The last thing I'd want is some "health care professional" mucking around in my life!
