I just had my first ECT treatment. Does it get easier? It felt terrible. My neck and jaw and throat are killing me and I feel so scared. I'm afraid to have the next one. I know I need to continue. I'm just petrified. Please Help. I need encouraging words.
Hugs from:

Just this first one will you feel the sore muscles, etc. I had no problem with subsequent treatments. Yes, they get significantly easier.

The sore muscles go away after a while, thank goodness. It's roughest at the beginning. Hopefully you find ECT to be beneficial. It literally saved my life at one point. Good luck!

Yes, it was a life saver. I had my round of treatments in July and Aug 2015 and I've had no issues with Depression since.
