Has anyone ever heard of someone with severe OCD seeing people's faces?
I'm Bipolar/PTSD/PANIC/OCD and now I see my mother's face on various occasions although she's been dead for 28 years. I also feel what I perceive to be demons standing next to me. But, I am fully mentally aware none of it is real.
Has this ever been reported in severe cases of OCD?

Hello Dee: I'm sorry I don't know the answer to your question. I'm an older person &, as I've aged, I've noticed that I am developing a certain paranoia. And I also sometimes imagine I can sense "evil spirits " around me although I know it's just an illusion. I don't believe in any such thing. I've struggled with anxiety pretty-much my whole life. So I presume what I'm experiencing is most likely an outgrowth of that.

Anyway... I see this is your first post here on PC. So... to PsychCentral… from the Skeezyks! May the time you spend here be of benefit.

PsychCentral is a great place to get information as well as support for mental health issues. The more you post, & reply to other members’ posts, the more a part of the community you will become. Plus there are social groups you can join & chat rooms where you’ll be able to connect with other PC members in real time (once your first 5 posts have been reviewed & approved.) Lots of great stuff! So please keep posting!

Hi DeeOrt

For those who feel alone, or simply wanting to reach out for a chat without judgement......this is the place. There are many good listeners here, we're a pretty good bunch.

I have been an active member of this site for 3 years. In that time I have received some really constructive feedback and connected with several others with similar challenges to myself. I have also found hanging out in the Games Forums to be a welcome distraction in times of stress... a great way to clear my head, meet like minded others, and have some well needed fun. New members also benefit greatly from perusing the many forums available here...lots to explore.

Should you have any questions on navigating this site, please don't hesitate to private message me or any of the other Community Liaisons who will be more than happy to help. Just click on the screen name above my avatar

Please be kind to yourself DeeOrt, and welcome to P.C

Welcome to PC. What you've described doesn't exactly sound like OCD to me. It sounds more like hallucinations. But that's just my opinion.
