I have been hearing voices for years now and have been battling depression on and off. is there any particular reason. Some say bipolar others just say that I am crazy. It isn't funny when it causes me to have headaches and not feel like eating. Lucky if I eat once a day. Please help me.

Have you been seeing a therapist? If not, you should. I've had issues in the past that were similar in some ways, and I can say that going to therapy was definitely quite helpful for me. Also, dealing with a mental health problem doesn't make one "crazy", and whoever said that to you sounds incredibly ignorant.

A few questions about the voices: are they simply the voices of your conscious or are they separate entities? if the latter, do they tell you what to do?

I personally don't care for the use of the word 'crazy'. It is sadly belittling. Whoever has given you this impression I agree is hurtful and ignorant. Not exactly supportive.

Talk to your doctor about this. If s/he is concerned enough, they will get a referral to a psychiatrist. Don't allow yourself to be hindered by the 'crazy' word. Consider it as a favour to yourself.
