Out of curiosity, has anyone ever have a creepy sighting that makes you think you saw a ghost or something supernatural even though it is not physically possible? How did you react? I am not talking about dream hallucinations, but situations that happen during the day when you are wide awake. I have one example I can give. It was back when I was a freshmen in college. I was walking on the indoor track above the gym in the middle of the day. Some of the lights weren't on so it was semi-dark in the gym. Not too dark, I could still see where I was going and my surroundings, but it wasn't very bright either. I was also all alone in the gym. Well, as I was walking around the gym listening to music, I just happened to notice a figure standing on the college Red Hawk logo in the center of the basketball court.

I noticed whatever, or whoever it was, was facing my direction, and then turned toward a doorway leading out to the lower level hallway. From that point, it bolted through the doorway at a very high speed. I quickly ran to the steps where I thought whoever it may be would come up since it led right to that hallway. No one showed up. And there is only one upper level hallway and one lower level hallway and both are very short and the lower level entrance is within a few feet of the stairs. I did not see or hear anyone leaving the building, or heading to the weight room right across the hall or even coming up the steps.

Feeling somewhat confused and creeped out, I quickly gathered my belongings and left the gym immediately. I did go back later that same day though when there was more people there and all of the lights were on. I felt dumb for reacting that way and I don't believe in ghosts personally but at the same time, that was one situation that made me temporarily wonder. The thing that made it more creepy, and rather sad too, is that just a few months prior to that, the basketball coach collapsed and passed away right on the college logo in the center of the court. The exact same spot I saw the figure. I didn't see the death occur, although I had just missed it by a few minutes that day. Even though I didn't know him personally and may have only seen him a couple times in the halls, I still avoided going down to the gym for several days after that just due to the awkwardness and sadness of the situation.

Due to this, it made me wonder if I had seen the spirit of the basketball coach. I know that is really impossible but that was a instance that made me wonder. The other possibility is that it was a random student there acting really weird and must have hid or something which could explain why I didn't see or hear anyone leave. In the case, what was the student doing and why was the student there. That is something I'll never know if that was the case. Is there an explanation for what could cause these kinds of creepy experiences and why? Do you have any experiences you would like to share? Just curious. It is one of those cases that baffle me to this day. It never happened again but it did temporarily creep me out.

While I haven't experienced anything quiet like that, this story did remind me of a hypothesis that I was reading about awhile back.

Apparently, there are some computer science people who believe that it's probable that we live in a computer simulation, and ghosts and other supernatural stuff are computer glitches.

While such a theory is far fetched, it is fascinating.

Regardless of rather or not this is true, I do agree that there is a lot that we don't know about the world or universe. Maybe there could be an afterlife or ghosts could be real or we could live in a computer simulation?

Perhaps one day, we will find the answers that we seek.

A friend of mine died of cancer. And a month later I opened a door, and I swear I saw her standing there. I may sound crazy but this stuff happens a lot. Mainly in my sleep. My mom says I have some gift or something. I'm not sure though.

You may have seen an apparition. Knowing what happened in advance of the sighting, may also had an influence. Did you feel his presence at any time?

Makes sense. And yeah in a way, I have felt like his spirit was around sometime after he passed. The few days after he passed I sensed someone was always there but I just wrote it off as just a psychological thing and the day I saw the sighting, I didn't sense anyone was there until I saw the figure. Then I got the sense I was no longer alone in the building.

I have had quite a few "experiences" in my life. I have an open mind on the subject.

I had an unexplainable experience as a young child. Since then I've always wondered about the existence of sasquatch. To this day if I am alone in the mountainous heavily treed wilderness I get the creepy feeling I am not alone. I fear not bears. It is the unknown I fear. I admit I kind of want sasquatch to exist but never do I want to repeat that childhood experience.

This wasn't a creepy sighting more of a creepy feeling. My now ex husband and I were traveling to Florida to catch a cruise ship. We saw a car wreck on the interstate (we were right beside it) and saw the car turn over and the guy slung halfway between the front and back seats. It was clear he had a broken neck and had just died. We were sitting in our car beside this car with the dead body and there became such a complete silence of noise and an electricity or some other supernatural feeling or energy in the air. It was as if we were experiencing his soul leave his body. All the hairs on my body stood up.

I've never felt that again but will always remember that feeling.

I had three experiences that I would consider somewhat supernatural. Two were when I was in the Air Force. The first occurred in the dorm I lived in, I woke up and saw an apparition of a woman hovering in my room. It was weird, kind of freaked me out, but not so much that I couldn't go back to sleep. I had been drinking the night before so that could have impacted that.

The other one is REALLY strange, and others have had similar experiences to what I had.

RAF Mildenhall England is a USAF Base that I was stationed at. I was on the flightline on overnight shift doing clean up for our equipment, dropping off generators, picking up generators, refueling ect. As I drove down the flightline I saw a C130 on a hardstand, with a Generator that wasn't hooked up, but was running. I pulled over to it, went over to shut it off to bring it in and although it was running, the power switch was off. I switched the power switch on then off and it shut down. I hooked the generator up to my bobtail and started back towards the shop. I called our ground controllers and told them I was picking up GGXX from hardstand XX bringing it back to the shop, as was the norm. The responded back and asked why there was a generator on that hard stand. I told them there was a C130 tail number xxxx on the hardstand, but that the generator had been running but not hooked up, and the plane was dark. They asked me to confirm the tail number, I repeated it, they responded back and said that C130 with that tail number was not only NOT on that hardstand, but was not even on the base. I told them, "Well I'm looking at it right now, that's the tail number, and it's sitting on hardstand xx" (After they started asking questions I turned around and went back to the hardstand) They said ok, but sounded really confused, so I headed back to the other side of the flightline where our shop was to refuel and serve the unit, my shift ended, put it out of my mind.

While I was there, there was a "legend" if you want to call it that, of a situation where a crew chief, upset that he had not been allowed to take emergency leave for a family situation, had stolen a C-130 to fly back to the states. He took off, but unfortunately headed in the wrong direction and eventually crashed. This was a 1960's incident.

As it turns out, research that I've done since, indicates that this legend was in fact an actual event. It did happen, a crew chief, stole a C130 and crashed. The interesting part is that the C130 he stole was parked on the hard stand that I experienced this event.

Additionally, there have been several similar experiences on that hard stand over the years that have a similar theme. Someone sees a C130 on that hardstand, the ground controllers have no knowledge of that C130 being on the base, and a generator sits there running without being hooked up to the aircraft. These sightings always happen on the overnight shift. The crew chief stole the C130 on the overnight shift.

Things that make you go "hmmmm".

my aunt died when i was about 12ish and we went to virigina to attend her funeral.
while she was alive, she gave me a room in her house to let me stay every time i visited her and it was right across hall to the laundry room where every other day, she would wake up early and do laundry and hum.

anyway, the day after the funeral i stayed at her house with my uncle in the same room she gave me and i heard a noise coming from the laundry room and at the time, i forgot she had died, so i went to check it out and i saw my aunt standing there, doing laundry

i forgot she was dead, so i thought "oh just another normal day" and went back to doing what i was doing

i told my uncle that my aunt was upstairs doing laundry and he looked at me in shock like, "your aunt is dead".

most of the time (i'd say like 95 percent of the time), my helusinations are terrifying

random women walking across the room, random children, people with weapons, etc.

though my strangest is my encounter with who I believe was the angel of death.

Possible trigger:

it was freaky, and I swear to god, the angel of death was actually standing their.

no helusination, no weird episode, he was their.

Possible trigger:

I remember for days after, I was haunted by it. absolutely haunted. I wouldn't even use my own bathroom and had to go somewhere else.

that is also why plains are a trigger for me.

because of that 1 really scary helusination

I've had one terrifying ghost experience. I firmly believe they exist.

It happened when I was like 12-13 .. I was staying at my friends house and supposedly there was a house nearby that was haunted. So we went to it. At first there was nothing abnormal until I started to walk out and the rocking chair that was in the first room was rocking on it's own. Nobody had sat in it or even gone near it. Then when we were outside all of the sudden everybody started to run and me and my friend couldn't figure out why until her sister shouted for us to look in the trees. There was a lady in a glowing white dress, with bright red eyes. I ran soo damn fast to the gate when I saw her!! We jumped the gate and never went back. But the creepiest part was when we got back to my friends house we all had fresh scratches all over us but mine spelled out .. kill in three different areas on my body. We were all in jeans and sweaters so there was no way we cut ourselves on anything. I was definately freaked out and was paranoid for weeks that the ghost was going to come after me. I thought I was marked for death. I will always believe in ghosts.
