I love my wife dearly, and would never leave her. She tells me that she has little or no libido since she has gone on Prozac. It's been 15 to 20 years! I always initiate sex. We have sex once a month on average. I've told her that I would be very happy to have sex once a week. What's the answer?

Have her talk to her doctor about changing to another medication. Prozac can have bad side effects.

Yes a change in antidepressant may help. I would also suggest going back to dating again, take her out for a meal, buy her some flowers, make her feel special. Failing that, couples counseling may help.

I am sorry that you are going through this; I know it can be difficult. I am not disagreeing with Thunder Bow or pegasus, but wanted to look at your problem from another angle. I know that happiness can be a moving target. For instance, if you did not have sex with her at all for the past 15 to 20 years, is it conceivable that you "would be very happy to have sex once a month"?

In other words, once a week sounds awesome right now, but will it hold you or will the happiness goalposts change? I suppose no one can answer that question, but acceptance is always a choice.
