My daughter has bipolar, it runs pretty rampant in my wife's family. In the past both my wife's siblings as well as my daughter have had positive results with lithium, however this time around the 300mg is making her vomit, or queezy if we are lucky.

Do any of you lithium takers have something you eat with the lithium that helps you stomach it? I am trying to get her to take it in the middle of a meal, or at minimum a piece of toast, are there any foods out there that seem to hold down the effects?

Thank you in advance.

Has she tried to just cut back on the dose for a little while so she can adjust to the medication slowly?

The only time I felt like that on lithium was when I was toxic. She is on a low amount so that shouldn't be an issue. I would try to eat some crackers or some dry toast with it when she takes it.

I couldn't stay on it. Bad stomach issues, not eating, nausea.
