How do you feel about systems with strict rules and rule-breakers?
Do you have a disorder that is not a cluster B personality disorder? Do you have an anxiety disorder?

Please work, poll thingy.

Well... I don't know about this. Personally I pretty-much try to follow all of the rules in whatever situation I happen to be in, as much as possible. I just want to keep myself as anonymous as possible... to blend into the woodwork, so to speak. Breaking rules tends to get one noticed... to make one stand out.

As far as systems with rules goes... when I was in college, many years ago now, I had a professor who commented: "There are two ways to put in sidewalks. One is to put them where you want them & hope people use them. The other is to watch where people walk & put them there." I've always remembered that comment. My personal opinion is we should watch to see where people walk... & put the sidewalks there.

Thanks for this!

For me it depends on the rules. If they go against my moral values & I am being forced by rules to break that, I will stick to my values because I know that those values in fact do no harm. If they did then I would question my values & consider the rule to override it & go along with the rule.

I stick with rules that are logical & non-harming to anyone if followed & QUESTION any thst don't fit into that category.

As far as punishment it depends on what the rule actually is. Most times if the consequences are strong enough people will think about the rule seriously & only fight against those they truly believe are WRONG.

As far as my DX, it was major depression & major anxiety but it was situational & my situation has completely changed & DBT therapy helped me to understand emotions I didn't know existed in me so growth & change made a huge difference in the last 10 years.
