C. Probably not, but if it is a raw food which can be easily washed off and cooked, then it is not a problem.

Exactly what I was going to say!

I have to add that with five cats and a lightning fast dog in the house I often don't get the chance to chose. Frequently someone scarves it up before I can bend over to get it.

This one made me laugh because it's true. The floor is relatively clean so a three second rule applies -when I want it to - If it's been on the floor for less than three seconds then it is fair game. Other times I wont because it needs to be wiped up.

Haha if it was a clean floor and chocolate I would for sure pick it up off the floor and eat it, (As long as it's 3 second rule). Haha

Yes that is not a problem at all, unless it is ice-cream.

My mom says there is always a 30 second rule on that for things dropped in the kitchen but I say more then likely if it fell out on kitchen floor it’s garbage but if I was sitting and watching tv and it was my chocolate and same with candy like someone else commented I would pick it up blow it off then eat it!!!

I once dropped a big chunk of avocado, and as much as I love avocados, I mourned, picked it up, and threw it in the garbage. Some foods I will pick up and eat.
