Why do I need constant reassurance that everything is OK ? I always ask why and how. I have to understand everything.

I guess you've never really paid attention to the moral support a movie like "Patch Adams" can have on all walks of life?

Sorry if you have, I know it's a weak excuse, but going on to 3 days without sleep..

It's probably just the way your brain works, mine does the same thing - latches onto something and won't let up

Were you getting the emotional reassurance, the validation as a small child? If not, then the pattern of constantly seeking the reassurance may have started back then. The mind is molded to a large degree in those early years, so the psychologists say. I think it's true.
