What are some ways to support a family member who lives in another city and has no one locally to care for him when he is in a mental health crisis?

Check in with them as often if you can even if it's just an email.

You might check with Department of Human Services--and see if there is any help there.
If your person is a member of a church, there may be help there... Otherwise, t like DeeJay14 says--just touch-base with him/her frequently. Wishing you well! ![]() |

Yes, stay in regular contact.
Locate a support group and provide the information to your loved one. Find a support group for yourself to attend. If it is relevant, try not to be an enabler. |
