What are people with bipolar supposed to do when they find themselves living somewhere where they know no one?

Hello mikiep: I see this is your first post here on PC. So... welcome to PsychCentral! I hope you find PC to be of benefit.

There is a forum, here on PC, dedicated to bipolar disorder. Here's a link:

https://forums.psychcentral.com/bipolar/

I don't know as I have any particular suggestions as far as what to do when one has bipolar disorder & finds oneself living somewhere where they know no one. However here's a link to an article by our host Dr. John Grohol, Psy.D., from PsychCentral's archives, on the subject of loneliness. The article provides links to quite a few additional articles on the subject. Perhaps some of the information in these articles can be of some help:

And then here are links to several articles on the subject of how to find friends:

My best wishes to you...

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
