I have a 17yo son who has a 4 year history of depression/anxiety. This past summer he was also treated 3 months for substance abuse. Was diagnosed with probable schizoid personality disorder and bipolar depression. They did REBT there and it seemed to be helpful. Where we currently are is not that great in the therapy area but it is getting him through this semester of school until he goes back to his high school in Jan. I found an IOP program that utilized REBT in the Dallas, TX area about a month ago but didn't write it down. Does anyone know of a place in the Dallas area that does both PHP, IOP and continuing therapy? Thank you

any mental health treatment provider will do IOP. (out patient therapy)

Any mental health treatment provider will use hospitalization when needed (if the person is a danger to one self or others.

if you mean specialized treatment on a specific problem you will need to call around and tell them what problems your son has and they will tell you if they work with that problem.

REBT is a kind of CBT so any therapy professional that does basic therapy also does REBT. the basics of it is talking with a therapist on why you behave the way you do. what you believe in and how your behavior affects your life and those around you and make changes. thats basic CBT/REBT therapy. what kinds of discussions you have with a therapist depends on what your problems are.

my suggestion is have your son call around or if you are your sons court appointed representative that makes all his mental health decisions you call around and tell them what your sons problems are and ask if they help with those problems.
