This Friday I shared with a friend at work that I got a medical marijuana card. I kind of trust her.

But last night I got a text from her (I thought) with a audio song of a song about being high.

I got it when I was asleep and just ignored it, I was mildly annoyed but took it as she was drunk texting.

But this morning the text seems to be off my phone... and now I am wondering if this was something I hallucinated due to pot?

Thoughts? Is it possible to take back a text?

Or sometimes you text something and you don’t read it first and it’s not exactly what you wanted to say.

When someone deletes a string of texts (which I do often to declutter my phone or abbreviate my 'recent' list) the entire history with that person disappears.

I wouldn't then assume she is taking back something she said or that she had a negative reason to do so. My first thought is that she was merely cleaning her phone. No worries.

Woah.....when we delete a text on our own phone it doesn't delete it on anyone else's phone. If it is not on your phone either you deleted it or you never received it in the first place. It is technically IMPOSSIBLE for someone to delete a text on your phone from theirs.

I agree with eskielover's post above. You can't send someone a text and then delete it off their phone from your own.

I was not high!

As it turns out sending a auto file will expire 2 minutes after you play it - unless you choose to save it. iPhone audio message disappeared - Apple Community

Yup, audios work like that.

Also, on Whatsapp you can actually delete messages on the other person's phone, which I find creepy, but at least it leaves a message that it was deleted.

Perhaps it might have something to do with one's carrier because I get people asking why our text conversations disappear. I am pretty sure when I delete mine, their side of the dialogues are wiped out too.

I think android works different then iphones too. I know friends have deleted their text conversations but mine are still there (until I delete them) & they used the same carrier as I do.
