all your answers will save me ... so 2017 was really a bad year for me , and my issue is that :

==> If i find that a product was made during that time (2017) i dont take it , or if a video was created in that time i dont watch it , literally anything thats has to do with that year i dont do it

==> BECAUSE : in the back of my mind i say " if i get this phone that was created in 2017 , then it will be thanks to that depressing year that im gonna meet new friends, (because thanks to that phone , i will chat with new people etc)

As if thanks to that depressing year (year the phone was made) that im gonna make new huge changes in my life etc

i already regained my old happy self , 2018/2019 were good , i understood what made me feel during that bad year etc ...

PS : 2017 was really a depressing year for me , thats why it impacted me this way , i have no anxiety at all , i just feel depressed when i think about using things that were created in 2017

PLEASE any DIFFERENT APPROACH , or logical way of thinking ? to accept everything that was created in that year ?

thankyou..

Have you talked to anyone re possibly having OCD? My husband has OCD and he doesn’t do certain things or does certain things because of certain numbers.

This issue reminds me a lot trying to get over exes. I'll see their name somewhere or anything that reminds me of them and it brings me down. What helps the most is time going by. 2017 is not super long ago.

Other than that the secret for me is to try to move on when I get those reminders. Try not to dwell on them. That too, gets easier with time. So I see reminders and it annoys me but I'm able to usually move my thoughts along pretty quickly and if I can't I try to push them back and focus on other stuff. So the thoughts may stay but I try to ignore them. Sometimes it's easier than other times but it's way better than it used to be.

I dunno if this helps you but it's what came to mind when I read your post.

I don't think I'll help any, but I'm likely to do the same with the year 2019. This year has been especially hard on me...
