I suffer from depression, anxiety, social phobias and a general discomfort with myself and my story. My family has been both supportive and detrimental to my progress with my mental illness. I choose and have always chosen a wholistic alternative approach to my healing path. I have gained meditative skills and coping skills, but struggle to maintain a healthy ingratiated life. At this point, breaking away from my family is not a possibility. Is it right for them to demand medication be part of my treatment plan? Is it okay for them to expect perfection from someone who lives with this type of hindrance?
