Does anyone deal with this? I’m not sure if it’s relevant to anxiety or ptsd... but there are many times where i feel stressed or just so overwhelmed wuth something that i kind of have an “out of body” experience... i kind of let my body go about my routine/daily tasks while my mind wanders if that makes sense. I’ve had moments where I come “back” and cant remember if i did a thing like turning the light off in a room, or if I idk locked a door, or where i put things. I lose things a lot and idk if its because i have bad short term memory recall or because i get into these “autopilot” states and do things and when i refocus i cant remember moving them.

That sounds kind of like dissociation to me. Mild version of it, but still dissociation. I lose things a lot and "forget" if I locked the door or turned off the light also. It's more that the memory was never planted in the first place. It's kind of hard to explain.
Here's a good explanation of what it is... Dissociation FAQs - ISSTD Hope this helps. As always, check with your pdoc or T, if it's really concerning you or bothering you. __________________ Diagnoses: PTSD with Dissociative Symptoms, Borderline Personality Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain |

What you've described is dissociation. It might be affecting your life more than you realize it is. There are a number of causes of dissociation...yes, it can certainly be anxiety...but there are so many causes of anxiety.
Have you considered speaking with a mental health professional/ __________________ |

I feel that way too most of the time. Can it lead to a worse state if untreated?
