I was looking for online family therapy with my son. Because he is in another state, I was considering online therapy. She would take my insurance if I drove to her office in San Diego, but do do it online , I would have to payout of pocket. Can’t really afford that right now, so I am pursuing ways to improve our relationship a different way. It’s working.
In the states, people are licensed for a particular state or states. I don’t know how licensing would work internationally. Remember that not just any therapist is a a good therapist. Support groups and having a mentor who has your same issues is very helpful and plenty of mentoring goes on here on the forums!
