Kind of a weird question but I keep wanting to get turned on by stuff but everytime I try to focus on things I focus for about 5 seconds and then my mind goes back to what stupid things the twins are going to do on Project Runway or some other dumb stuff related to TV. I consider myself assexual so I don’t know why I am even bothering. Just sometimes stuff does get me going and now I actually want it to. Ive been on testosterone for about 5 days so maybe it’s starting to get my mind going. I legit don’t even know what I’m asking. But does this happen to anyone else?

Hi Mountaindewed,

I can definitely empathize. I experience something like that too but it turns out to be a side effect of a medication I am taking. Since the medication is essential to my survival, there is not much I can do about it.

I sure hope you find something that helps! -- Yao Wen

Things are stressful right now and nothing turns me on at the moment. I think it’s normal during crisis. Mind is racing etc

Yes, that's happened to me @Mountaindewed. As a single, sexual man, sometimes I might be starting to 'entertain myself' so to speak, but then suddenly think, "bleh, this is boring" and then just stop and do something else. Is this what you mean?

But as the previous two posters have pointed out, there are factors that contribute towards this.

I'm not sure how your testosterone treatment will effect you, but you might start seeing an increase in sexy thoughts. Obviously you'd know more about that than me, though.
