My therapist told me to do one and I have no idea what it is. Google turns up nothing.

I believe its to identify what sensory sensitivities you're dealing with. Once you know what they are you can develop, what's called a "sensory diet", to address them.

"The Sensory Integration Inventory – Revised for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities (SII-R; Reisman & Hanschu, 1999) is a non-standardized checklist that can be used to screen and rule out serious maladaptive behaviors that are not due to sensory dysfunction."

... meaning, she wants to know if a specific behaviour you're exhibiting is sensory related or not. If it is, a sensory diet can help. If it isn't, she'll guide you through the next step.

Not related, but I wonder if she thinks I’m developmentally delayed. There’s been rumors in the past. Mostly by asshole people in high school and at my last treatment center. I know I sometimes act like it but I could also just have bad selective mutism too.

I guess autism is part of it. You learn something new everyday.

She's your therapist so hopefully you've built a trusting relationship with her. If so, instead of wondering, ask her. Be point blank. Ask her what specifically she's looking for and hoping to achieve.

According to google autism is considered a developmental disability and it’s in the same category as Down syndrome and CP.

But what does that have to do with you?

I was just wondering if I was developmentally delayed or not. I was just curious that’s all. Because according to that thing sensory inventory is for people who are developmentally delayed.

Idk. I think I’m a lot more severe then I realize.

Not necessarily. It's common to have sensory processing disorders as part of the Autism Spectrum but is not limited to.

I'm tactile defensive in the palms of my hands plus have sensitive skin.. and have mild auditory sensitivities. I don't have Autism, CP, or Downs.
