I don't know where to post this.
I need to collect data. Does anyone know how to convert text messages into a useable format so I can print them, if needed? I want hard copies and backups but don't want to keep the text messages in my phone. I don't have data and my cell is very limited. |

then push both the volume and power button on your cell phone. you will see a little flash or blink signaling a screen shot has been taken of the message. you can now close text message. open your phones pictures ( sometimes called gallery.) select the three dots above the pic. select print, just like you would print a picture from your cellphone. make sure your cellphone is set up with your printer or attached to your printer and printer is turned on. |

Would it depend on the phone? Do you have iPhone?
https://www.google.com/amp/s/deciphe...-computer/amp/ Do you really need ALL text messages from everyone you ever talked to? Or just some? |

In some Android phones, while viewing the text thread you want to save, there is a tri-dot menu at the top right. If you click it, some phones have an option to "save" the texts in an office file in your phone's documents. From there you can either e-mail it to yourself, add it to an online cloud drive, or directly transfer it to your computer. DO NOT DELETE the ones in the phone until you know you have a legible format in multiple copies for your records. (Army advice)

Sorry for the delay, finals week came up. The best way I've found since your text service doesn't have the previous option, is to use SMS backup and restore from the Google play store. You can back it up in different formats, save to a specified location on your phone, and either back it up in Google drive or transfer to computer.

Get wireless printer and you can print everything of your phone. A friend of mine has android and she prints whatever of her phone. I don’t use my wireless printer but we were talking about all the options it has.

Ok, when I go into the text, there's no "print" option. Has she printed texts before?

I don’t think so, we didn’t discuss printing texts. We were just talking about wireless printers and she said she likes it and prints from her phone (pictures, forms, documents). I had texts printed before for work (documentation) purposes, I just did screen shot and emailed to myself but those were just a few. Not a ton
