Okay so this started in my teen years. When I do something and it brings me like any pleasure or joy my body repeats this action uncontrollably. Like if I touch a shirt that’s soft I can’t stop touching it even if I want to walk away. I’ll keep like petting and squeezing this shirt. And another example, I had picked up a small spray bottle at the store and squeezed the trigger thing on it and I squeezed it again but I couldn’t stop squeezing it. I carried this thing around squeezing the trigger thing on it for 15 minuets. It’s not OCD bc it’s not like I have to do it or something bad will happen, but if I do something that brings me a sense of momentary joy, my body uncontrollably repeats this action. And it’ll make me really happy and excitable if that makes sense? I know I sound crazy but I stg I’m not making this up.. I just need any sort of answer. I’m not asking for a diagnosis just like is this a symptom of a mental disorder that anyone knows Of or anything. What causes this?

Two things crossed my mind that are sort of similar to what you're describing, fetishes & security blankets. They aren't ocd but the compulsion is there. Fetishes are reportedly sexually motivated, & of course security blankets (& sometimes teddy bears, etc.) are self explanatory. So there must be a number of causes & motivations for these kinds of behaviors. There are probably specialists who study behaviors of this sort. Maybe try to google various compulsive behaviors?
