Relational-cultural therapy - Wikipedia

Relational-cultural theory, and by extension, relational-cultural therapy (RCT) stems from the work of Jean Baker Miller, M.D.. Often, relational-cultural theory is aligned with the feminist and or multicultural movements in psychology. In fact, RCT embraces many social justice aspects from these movements.

I am 68 years old and using the CARE program based on Relational Cultural Theory (RCT) by Amy Banks to develop and maintain growth fostering relationships.

Is anybody here familiar with RCT?
Thanks for this!

Not quite exactly the same. The other thread asks about the CARE program while this one asks about RCT. After doing more research I found out that RCT came first and CARE program is adaptation by Amy Banks. I'm hoping that by asking about RCT, it will get more response.

I think we did that in a treatment center I was in back in 2008. Although I didn’t know it had a name. For one whatever you call them, lessons that go on for a few weeks, it has a name, this very feminist older lady therapist would show us inspirational documentary’s about women inventors and achievers and we saw one movie about women trying to get the right to vote. We also saw Coal Miners Daughter.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
