Is it normal to develop a liking for sports? I’m getting a skateboard for Christmas and I also want one of those basketball hoops you put over the door. I just recently was interested in this stuff and I wonder if it’s the shots I get. I hated sports before. Couldn’t stand them and they gave me bad memories of elementary school.

I don't know the answer, but it sounds perfectly normal. My ex was FTM. He developed a lot of new interests.

I don't know what is "normal" or not. I am a female through & through & from the time I was a kid I played baseball, football with the guys on my street. I competed with guys in racquetball during my computer engineering career. Seriously, I believe that each person is an individual with individual interests & talents & stereotyping is not appropriate

I’m sorry. I won’t do it again.

I don't have an answer to your question, MD, but I think your question is valid and makes sense, based on where you're coming from. You didn't like sports before, and now you're transitioning and on hormones, and now you are interested in sports type things. It's understandable that you'd wonder. While it's true that most people don't fit in a box, I personally didn't see your question as inappropriate.
