You don't, unless they choose to reveal it. My mom has been anorexic her whole adult life but most people don't know about it.

People said I had one but I denied it. I think they were seeing stuff that just wasn’t there. I almost got admitted in November. It was kinda ridiculous considering I can easily lose 29 pounds and still be healthy. Half the time I don’t have an appetite because I feel physically sick, the other half I feel is just normal healthy dieting. I do have a cheat day once a week too.

The old therapist said many times she was thinking of switching me to a therapist who specializes in EDs. My surgeon thinks my weight loss is amazing. Current therapist doesn’t seem to care if I lose weight. I told her and she smiled and said “congratulations!”

If you're referring to yourself then the only way to know for sure is to go to a professional pdoc or doctor working in the mental health field. Try to see one if you feel like you have some symptoms. If you're referring to other people then like the wise and wonderful Werewoman has said there's no way to know for sure unless they tell you. Please be kind to yourself and do keep us updated. Sending many Safe, warm hugs to BOTH you, @princesscookie19, your Family, your Friends and ALL of your Loved Ones! Keep fighting and keep rocking NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, OK?!
