Do you believe everything happens for a reason?

I can't believe it. I was abused as a child and I don't think that needed to happen to me or to anyone else in this situation, and other of bad things in this world that just don't "need" to happen. yes maybe there was a reason (in abuse a person does **** because they don't care about the victim only about their own needs) but its unfortunately not a cosmic or magical reason in my eyes.

I can not assure you whether this statement is 100 percent true or not but believing in it gives me lots of strength to move on in life.I have myself experienced the power of this statement and that's why I do believe in it

Human beings are instinctively almost trained to look for patterns of normalcy in chaos. It is like an internal instinct wants us to focus on regaining control at all costs. Because of that it is very easy to look for patterns or coincidences and assign meaning to them. I’m not saying there’s no such thing as kismet but I do believe we each have our own free will that would alter what we see as the big picture.
