My mom is fully vaccinated. I’m not high risk. My states numbers are very low. I’ve seen a ton of people on my Facebook go out to eat. Yet I’m wondering if it’s still too early. The most risky thing I did this past year was get my haircut twice.

I think it's still too early. Not that many people have been vaccinated.

Mum gets her second shot Thursday and I get my first tomorrow but we’re not planning to change precautions because the more contagious variation is now everywhere and too many people are not yet vaccinated. Nope won’t find me or any of my relatives eating out yet. Maybe spring time when the outdoor seating opens up if enough people have been vaccinated by then. Here spring is mid may.

I think it depends on where you live and what your risk tolerance is. It's weird how tempting it is to go back to old activities now that the vaccine is so close but for me it is still two months away. I would hate to catch coronavirus right now.

I thought this tool was kind of cool. It can predict how likely you are to come in contact with someone who has Covid given your location and the number of people at your event: COVID-19 Event Risk Assessment Planning Tool

Personally, I go out to eat or grab a drink a few times a week but ONLY go to places with outside seating and appropriate distancing between tables and other CDC Guidelines and I always stay outdoors.

I think it is fine to go out to eat if you will be eating outdoors and CDC recommendation are being followed in regards to physical distancing; masking; and sanitization.

I personally I not ready to start dining indoors as I am concerned about the risk of recirculated air form the HVAC.

All of this said, you need to go with whatever makes you comfortable.

I heard a story about a guy who got his first shot and then got Covid and died right before he got his second shot. SoI think I’ll wait until I get mine although it is very tempting. But yeah in my area they are saying to still not let your guard down and stuff but restaurants are open at 50% capacity. I find it kinda confusing.

My aunt and her boyfriend are going out to eat inside but she is fully vaccinated and he had one shot. They were eating outside a lot during the summer.

I still won’t go to the grocery store except early in the morning. But I stopped wiping down my groceries months ago. I use hand sanitizer a lot though in the car. Sometimes several times in one trip. I’m paranoid but at least I haven’t gotten sick.

Yeah, it's weird, isn't it. Things are open, but then you aren't supposed to go. Here we have restrictions on travel between regions. But, the government decided to suspend that partially so that people could vacation over the Southern Hemisphere summer by requesting a vacation permit. Of course, cases spiked. Many areas are back in lockdown and the government now blames the people who took vacation
