Is there anyway to do that? I have been trying to find a new job and move out of my hometown for over a year. I just keep getting rejected and I am exhausted, I have some personal projects I want to finish up and I believe that if I could get away from my job for a few weeks I really would finish them.

Hi @annoyedgrunt84. I am sorry you feel like the present situation is not feeling good.

My own experience is that I need to sleep more when I have stress and work on personal projects on weekends. I also exercise daily and find a quiet place to sit for about 5 minutes a couple times a day. Connecting with my breath is very restful.

These help me more than moving somewhere else which I did many times. I find the same stuff wherever I go so why not find contentment here?

The reason I want to move is because I feel like I won’t have independence here. It’s to easy to rely on my family while I’m here.

I hear you and independence is a good thing but sometimes it is a later step preceded by working toward saving a year's supply of money in case the plan for independence meets a snag like Covid for instance. But it is always your choice.

I find having a detailed plan to get to where I want to get can override some of the boredom of life and annoyance of overbearing parents. Saving money is a great way to earn independence. Just moving out without a detailed plan and at least 6 months of expenses can be very risky.

Hope you find a way that works for you.

---I feel exactly the same way. However, I dont want to bring the delta variant of covid back with me. My ex has poor resistance. So where the heck can I go safely?
He and I joke about just fleeing for Australia, but we probably wouldnt be able to get a visa. Then I suggested Richard Branson's (Virgin Atlantic billionaire sponsoring private space flights) private island. All I have to do is get an invitation! LOL I am writing a young adult book about the Grand Canyon. I'd love to go up there, but are hotels safe.? One up there has special safety protocols. Vaccines, masks, and social distancing are the biggest priorities.
I have settled for walking in a huge multilevel mall here for now and Facetiming my son and grandkids. The covid challenge continues to be adapt-adapt-adapt!

If you can find a remote job work at home and stay in your house and buy groceries online, that is one way to keep safe but a little boring after a while.
