Its coming today to an apartment building. I was off on a couple numbers when I put my address in. The company couldnt help me and has since stopped replying to my emails. Should I just go over to the apartment and try to get it myself? What if they dont give it to me? I set up a UPS account so I could try switching the address but it wouldnt let me do it. I'm just really pissed because it was expensive and kind of a waste of my money in the first place and to not even get it will suck even more.

Is there anything I can do?

Hi I ordered a package and sent it to the wrong address? would you have the receipt of the purchase? It would show your name. It happens when numbers get twisted. If you feel uncomfortable about going alone ask a friend to go with you to ask for the package. If they deny giving I would call the company and explain the situation. If no results I’d ask for a refund because you honestly didn’t get the package. If you know the person (who has the package) go to small claims court.

My mom was going to go with me. Its at an apartment and its getting kind of late and I dont really want to go at night even though its just down the road. We drove by it today and it seems like a safe neighborhood but that was at 10AM.

But I do have the order number and receipt and all the back and forth emails from the seller. The seller did respond late this morning and told me to try switching the delivery which I couldnt because I needed some invoice number I dont have. The tracking info they gave me wont work.

My mom said the bank could help too in getting my money back.

The package never got delivered to the apartment. So I sent another email to the seller this morning asking him what was up if they could just cancel the delivery so I could reorder and I said the numbers they gave me werent working. He got really pissed and replied back (a few words were in all caps the dude was steamed) that he cant do anything for me I have to do it. He gave me the tracking number, the invoice number, and the UPS customer service number. The tracking number just said it was out for delivery. Like it said all day yesterday. The invoice number was invalid. Again. So I finally called customer service and I got it changed to my correct address that way. Now when I track it theres no delivery date but it says its being changed to a diffrent address and the delivery date will be updated.

I just dont get why it was out for delivery all day yesterday yet didnt show up at that apartment and why the invoice number was invalid. I'm almost wondering if I got scammed or something even though this is a legit retail store in Canada with good reviews.

Sounds so similar to the issues with the USPS! They use to do the classic run around with ones packages. It’s gotten a lil better but still it’s difficult to trust them.

It came about half an hour ago. The box was pretty banged up but the glass bottles were wrapped securely in bubble wrap. Still no clue what it was doing floating around all day yesterday. Now I have another UPS one that should have been here today but I'm not worried about that one since I did send it to the correct address. I am concerned about the double charge on my card though from them. I'm hoping it just falls off since its still pending.

If it hasnt reached status "shipped" yet, you usually can still cancel it. At least on amazon - they dont charge your card until they ship.

I once ordered something from a company, and their logistics change the address on me. The FedEx supervisor called me personally in my area (Idaho is a small state) to warn me that there was a different address affiliated with my name. I called Verizon to complain, and FedEx was able to contact them as well to confirm that my order had the correct address upon order, but it changed in their system. I worried about identity theft, since it has happened to me more times than I can count.

Anyways, if you did accidentally put in the wrong address, you could try to (1) cancel the order and delete the wrong address from your account so that you can put in the correct shipping address for the next order; (2) or, if cancelling doesn't work, then physically walk to that address and kindly ask the person living there if they would inform you of the package once they receive it so that you can pick it up from them, due to a mistake in shipping - but still go on your account and change the shipping address to your correct address so that you don't accidentally make that mistake again with the default address, etc.; or (3) ask the UPS or the company for a refund for a missing item, and if that doesn't work, you can contact the Better Business Bureau to assist and/or the local Attorney General and/or all of the above.

The other one said at 9:30 last night it would be here on the 21st. All I was doing was rerouting it from a UPS box to my house. If it were going to be at the UPS box it would have been delivered yesterday. I checked an hour ago and now its saying the 22nd. Wtf. I also ordered something thats coming by Fedex and it is saying its coming today yet it also says its still in navajo something california. At least my address is right on that one because I really want it and its now out of stock and these things don't restock since they are parts of limited edtion collections. This sold out in less then 6 days I was not supirised it wasn't sooner.

So I'm not sure whats going on with anything but they said things would be screwey this year.

But at least the one with the wrong address got fixed and I didn't have to go into any shady apartment.

I keep track of all my shipments - through OnTrac, USPS, FedEx, and UPS.

For FedEx and OnTrac, their scheduled delivery dates could change at the end of the day, and then the "delayed" warning will appear in red the next day if they weren't able to deliver it by the scheduled delivery date. This happens when there are accidents with the truck driver or severe weather conditions. For UPS, they will also have estimated delivery dates, but sometimes they will not have one provided. When they do NOT have an estimated delivery date, that means that there are delays due to severe weather or road conditions or otherwise. Usually, when there's an accident or when your items get severely damaged, FedEx and/or UPS will update that status, too. FedEx is pretty good about updating their statuses of damaged goods, which will appear in red and noted as some sort of interference or break in scheduling (I forgot the term they use).

For USPS (the Post Office), they don't offer any estimated dates most of the time, but sometimes they do. You can continue checking by tracking number to see if it has been delivered though. If you sign up for their informed delivery, you can see most of the mail and packages arriving by USPS. Sometimes FedEx "SmartPost" will use the USPS for delivery, but those get tricky to track and damned near impossible.

For OnTrac, they are notoriously late by a day or more, and they don't always update their status. Sometimes they operate like Amazon deliveries, where they might state "delivered" but it was delivered either to the wrong address or not at all. And sometimes they are inconsistent as to where they put their deliveries, whether it be in the package room or in front of your door.

I hope this helps a little.

I get anxious, too, when keeping score of all my package orders and deliveries. I've been doing this consistently for all my grocery and household shopping for the past 2 years. It's a pain sometimes!
