I've been having a lot of stomach pain and its not my gallbladder and my GI doctor prescribed some stomach pain meds which sometimes work and sometimes don't. But in the last 24 hours I've only had 2 little packages of nuts a couple sodas since soda is ok on my stomach, and half of a small Coke from Sonic.
But like what do you do if you just can't eat? I know the obvious answer is to go the doctor but thats not really an option the Friday before a long holiday weekend. I only get into massive pain when I eat actual meals. So do I just try to hang on until Tuesday when I can call my doctor? My mom is stopping at the store to get me some foods I can tolerate. I've had to bail out on 2 events because of this issue. Plus I'm losing weight since I'm not eating and I am already at a pretty normal weight.

I drink Ensure shakes. They come in berry flavors that are not like thick shakes but almost like Kool aid that you could mix with carbonated water.
I don't have pain, I just can't force myself to eat sometimes. It's like the food is rotting in my mouth and I have to spit it out but I can drink three shakes a day if I need to. Target usually has the best price followed by Walmart and Walgreens. Target also carries the best selection of flavors in the store so no shipping costs.

When I'm so anxious that I cannot eat I do my best to get a few bites of plain rice cakes and some water or Gatorade. The liquid makes the rice cakes kind-of puff up and fill my stomach.

Anything that doesn’t require chewing. Drinkable yogurts and apple sauce type of foods. Sure it’s not sustainable but it’s better than not eating at all

Carnation instant breakfasts, ensures, gatorade, protein shakes/protein bars. Lots of water.

Now things are really bad due to a combination of 2 meds I'm on that are decreasing my hunger pretty drastically. I do have some protein drinks and I just got a ton of gatorade the other day. But yeah solid foods do not sound good. I'd prefer working this out on my own right now because I just started one of the meds and I don't want my pdoc giving me a hard time for not giving it a chance, but my therapist does know about this type of stuff so I can ask her if things get rough.
