She’s in North Carolina. I know…

But hear me out. She is the most loving person I’ve ever encountered in my life. My dad says his sisters are nothing but trouble, but last I heard they don’t do drugs or drink and drive or have been to jail on several occasions. They don’t walk in my room practically naked high af periodically throughout the night. She wasn’t the one who encouraged me to get into drugs in the first place. She never threw a hatchet at me. She doesn’t threaten to kill me. She doesn’t hit me when I’m having a panic attack. I know she might do these things because I haven’t really seen her in years. So I’m thinking it’s a step up from Dad’s.

Other options include shelters and, well, I don’t really know. Honestly I don’t even know what shelters are in the area (no longer in the Lakes Region)

It might be an option.

Muddyboots, how about calling her to find out what she thinks of the idea? While on the phone you could chat with her and see what kind of vibes you get.

I’d talk to her first and see what she thinks. I’d take my nephews and niece in any time especially if they face homelessness. But not everyone has a space for extra people or money for it or live in a place that allows extra residents. I’d talk to her first

She’s been begging me to come visit…with my dad… sure she wouldn’t mind if I showed up alone

Still, talk to her. Explain you would come alone. Do not just show up but make arrangements in advance.

Of course. But it was to visit, not to live with, so I’d definitely talk about the possibility of staying there ahead of time.

Guys, seriously. I'm not going to show up unexpectedly and say "I'm living with you" which is what I think you think I'm going to do.

I would OBVIOUSLY discuss with her if I could stay at her house, how long, is it okay if I come alone, eceteranough
