Okay, this morning I was making blueberry chocolate pancakes for chica, her SO, and me. I felt like her SO was riding my *** and telling me I suck at making pancakes. Now, I consider myself a pancake making pro after having a period where I made various types/flavors of pancakes every day for like a month.

Him: Those look like they're done
Me: No, they're not. Trust me.
Him: I don't want to eat biscuits
Me: They won't be biscuits. I'm cooking them so they don't have raw batter on the inside. I know how to make pancakes haha.
Him: I'm going to have to use a lot of butter.
Me: You don't have to eat them if you don't want to eat biscuits
Him: I never said they were biscuits. I haven't even tried them.
Me: You just insinuated I'm making biscuits.
Him: I did not! Stop putting words in my mouth! I'll eat them.
Me: You said they were done, and I said they weren't, and you said you didn't want to eat biscuits, implying that these pancakes are biscuits. I think your problem is you make pancakes by turning the heat all the way up, burning that side, flipping them, burning the other side, but the inside is still fking raw-*** batter so you just assume I do the same, but look at the heat, it's not at the highest heat because that way you CAN cook it all the way through without burning the outside. If you don't want the pancakes, I'll eat yours.
(I have tried his pancakes and this is exactly what he did)
Him: I haven't even tried them yet, how am I supposed to know what they taste like?
(As I finish making them)Me: do you want the pancakes or not?
Him: of course

I will say, he did quite enjoy the pancakes.

I also want to point out this guy encouraged chica to drink a whiles back, and I saw them physically fighting in the middle of the street. I want every bit of ammo, no matter how insignificant, I can use against this guy to get chica to stop associating with him because apparently that's not enough. She might think the fighting wasn't something to be concerned about; I've been in those shoes.

This is ridiculous. I know. But this dude INFURIATES me and I never want to see his *** again.

How did you not stuff the pancake turner up his whatever?! That was admirable restraint.

That conversation - his batching - would have done me in. You held your own! You must make some good pancakes if you shut his mouth up!

I am trying my hardest to not meet any more police officers, and I think I'm doing a fantastic job. Just kept in mind "I'm gonna shut his mouth with the best pancakes this dude has ever eaten." When I am good, I'm very good.

I have tried making pancakes a few times and found it very difficult. I admire your skill level.

Are you thinking of crepes? I can’t ever make them right. Either too thick or too thin. I never mastered them

Pancakes are kind of thick, hard to ruin.

When I make pancakes, I wait for the first side cooking to become full of bubbles, then I flip them and let the other side brown. They’re done.

I sense something bubbling up with this guy, too. Just let him get all full of hot air, then flip him, and he’s done ;-)

He's the d-bag, not you. He was gaslighting you. by first saying he doesn't want to eat biscuits, and then denying that he said that or implied it. It's gaslighting, which is an emotional/psychological abuse tactic.

And sorry... I am not aware, is chica your daughter? I am trying to piece together who chica is and who this guy is in relationship to you and chica.

I’m pretty much Chica’s squatter lol. The dude’s her boyfriend, and the more I see of him, the more I notice this sort of gaslighting/emotional manipulation. Im trying to get her to break up with him.

I see, thanks for explaining! She is likely getting same or worse treatment. Ugh.

Definitely worse. First time I met the dude was outside the building swinging at her, but they were both smoking crack or something.

Oh my goodness. That’s insane. Why are you squatting at a woman’s home who does crack?

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Best option really. She doesn’t REALLY do crack. I know nobody casually does crack, but after that experience even she learned her lesson. I just hope it sticks long term.

Oh... These cases

Well, what happened here, is that you interacted with an energy vampire. You will encounter energy vampires every now and then, unless you move, and live under a rock, far from all known civilization.

Early morning going on here by the way, just had some green tea. I would really love some of your pancakes right now, i bet they are wonderful

Very familiar with the energy vampires. It's not so much the conflict or hostility that bothers me, but I was at a point when I wrote this that I was starting to realize so many of my interactions were defending myself because in a lot of other people's eyes everything I do is wrong. This was a case I needed assurance that I was not a "bad person" for trying not to have raw batter in the middle of my pancakes, but if I'm honest I just wanted someone else on my side on something as stupid as this to think that guy was being a proper asshole. I get it, stupid little thing and this post was literally "is it okay that I was bothered by this conversation?"

I would love to make you some pancakes, but they will definitely not taste good by the time they get to Finland
