but is there a way to see if someone cited me? That is very common on forums, but I don't remember anything about this one.

It would be under "your notifications" in the upper right hand corner. I tagged you here for an example

I got a notification for this but I never got any before for quotes, they don't trigger a notification.

I think the only thing they have here is, "default thread notification subscription"? Something like that. Under edit profile, the 2nd box. It adds to your "your profile" list of threads where people have responded to threads you have participated in, but not necessarily that they cited you. Then again, i often reply to people without quoting them or @'ing them, esp if it was a super long post.

Quoting shouldn't be necessary if you talk to the OP, it is on them to check in on their thread. But having an alert for atnaming someone and not an alert for having someone quote them is odd.

Yea, could subscribe to the thread, but that has another use for me.
