Just curious if anyone else has tried the Finch app.

"...Finch is a self care pet app that helps you feel prepared and positive, one day at a time. Take care of your pet by taking care of yourself!..."

I'm using it along with my adult daughter. The mood tracker seems useful, anyway.

No link provided -- this isn't a recommendation, endorsement or anything like that.

I love Finch!

I've been a daily user since February 2022.

So, @LostOnTheTrail and @Blue_Bird what's your favorite feature?

I like the goal setting, it helps me stay on track with my daily tasks and goals for each day

I'm getting a lot out of Name Your Emotion, now I have worked out how to use it.

(You do not have to categorise the cause of your emotion, but you can still write about it.)

I agree with both of you, @LostOnTheTrail and @Blue_Bird . I even had the idea of becoming a guardian!

For example, I've started on antibiotics for a tick bite, so I wanted to make sure I remember to take the pill twice a day. The app let me schedule daily reminders as "goals" (one for AM; one for PM) with a 10 day recurrence duration. This is something you'd find in a decent calendar app. But on top of that, when I do take the pill, it's easy to press "Done" and my little birdie gets a reward! I'm looking forward to scheduling some of my chores as goals. "Start a Journey" (under goal idea) sounds like a way of establishing a series of goals to complete a large task -- that's something I definitely need help with!

"Name your emotion..." Okay, so I took a break from writing this post. I was trying to figure out where to find "Name your emotion" -- I came across it by accident once. Turns out it's in the First Aid Kit, which features a great deal of activities, many of them for anxiety and panic. So I want to get my wife to use it on her phone.

That’s a good idea, I might become a guardian eventually sometime too.

Here’s an example of some of my habits /goals I have, I have more listed under these too

I find it a lot more motivating and fun than traditional to do lists and scheduling apps

I've been avoiding adding too many goals because I don't want to disappoint the little birb!

I do have a few more weekly goals such as "Return books to liberry[sic]" and "Pay bills"

Yeah I have a bad habit of setting tons of goals and not completing a lot of them lol

But I do love the app and am glad more people are using it, it’s super helpful
