an ark! we have had so much rain in the last week with the brunt of it hitting this weekend with still more coming. Parts of the metro Atlanta area has gotten up to 15 inches since midnight last night! folks it is nasty here! now I understand seasonal affective disorder! I don't think I have seen the sun in almost 2 weeks! it is raining one to two inches per hour here right now. many roads closed and even a mudslide in Ga! what the heck? seriously this is all happening. now people are losing their lives. so sad!

Mother Nature can be cruel sometimes. I grew up in tornado country. You get humble real fast.

I hope it stops for you soon.

my property is safe! I live on a hill with a large drop behind me. I do have a large ditch behind my house though that I would love to see if I have water in it but it has been raining too much for me to go check it out lol. I can't risk the fall being alone now.

Bebop....

I hope you don't have lake front property!! I think this all has something to do with global warming really.

I had heard a year or so ago that the drought was real bad in GA and that in places like Atlanta they were having to ration their water and everyones lawns and plants were dying. I think the Universe is trying to make up for that in abundance!!

I really hope the rain slows and that no one else loses their lives. Flooding can be so damaging...not just to property.

Hope to hear better news from you over the next day or so!! If I were you though, I'd get out my arm floaties, flippers and my inflatable alligator and get in some good swimming!!

Ooh YUCK!!!

Stay safe!!

for now the sun is trying to peak out! woo hoo! hopefully we have seen the worst of this mess! yes the last few years we were in a bad drought! I don't think they rationed water but could not water the lawns. but we have now made up for it. our main lake last year was down 20 something feet. today it may be down 2. yesterday alone the lake rose 2 feet! one day!

Bebop....

I wanted to apologize for my comments about going swimming with the floaties and stuff. I didn't get a chance to see the real damage and tragedy that's going on there till this morning.

I'm sorry for sounding insensitive.

I'm glad the Sun's peeking out for you!! That's nutz...the lake rising two feet in one day!! I think that's like a geological event or something...

Anyway...be safe and take care!!

I'm 90 minutes away from you in Alabama....we're on relatively high ground, but it's still just unbelievable. Remember that drought that had us fighting over water rights a while back?? The mosquitos are going to be hell in a few days....

I'm in Arizona, my tenth year here. My husband, who is from England, drives me coocoo because he watches all the world's weather and I get daily reports!! I think he thinks I subscribed to them! Anyway, I've started doing it, too! I've noticed that we did not get our "monsoon season" this year. That is the daily heavy rains we receive in August. This means we are going to feel it for sure. We are already a desert. Not a good thing for us.

I use to drive a truck and went thru your area often. what amazed me about it was that if I happened to go thru there in the rain people drove like it was on snow lol.
