This is really pathetic...

See the pic above, does anyone think this woman is "fat" and unattractive?

Apparantly Ralph Lauren does and fired her for that reason. On top of that they released an add of her, where she was photoshopped to look ultra-skinny.

Why does the clothing industry believe that a malnourished woman looks good. If I saw what passes for a model now days, with here ribcage showing, I would want to take the poor thing in and feed her.

Remember the 80's Cindy Crawford, Tyra Banks, Linda Evangelista, Daisy Fuentes these women were all gorgeous, and HEALTHY, they were trim but did not look like they could fall over and die any minute.

Memo to the fashion industry: These are WOMEN, they have HIPS, They have BREASTS, and thats why we men (who are not gay) think they are attractive. No one is attracted to a woman with the figure of a 12 year old boy

This has got to stop, the industry is sending a very bad message to our little girls out there. That beauty is looking like the victim of a concentration camp.

Ok, sorry for the rant, that just really ticked me off!

Thanks for listening...

TJ

wish we all could just accept what we look like as good and stop judging outer appearances... beauty is on the inside

Tim I totally agree with you. This woman is just beautiful. It is a shame that people don't realise that beauty IS on the inside. Sometimes even though people say this, in reality they think differently too. I have heard many people say that beauty is on the inside then go and admit to only finding x y or z attractive actually. It is a special person indeed who actually means what they say when it comes to size. Being a larger person myself I speak from experience.

The world in general these days are brainwashed and unfortunately our teens are so vulnerable, well it doesn't stop at teens either ... which is why eating disorders are on the increase. It's so sad, but unless the fashion magazines and very public faces like Victoria Beckham start playing a role in scrapping this negative idealism, the harder it is for us to change anything ... but where there is hope .....
