This is really pathetic...

See the pic above, does anyone think this woman is "fat" and unattractive?

Apparantly Ralph Lauren does and fired her for that reason. On top of that they released an add of her, where she was photoshopped to look ultra-skinny.

Why does the clothing industry believe that a malnourished woman looks good. If I saw what passes for a model now days, with here ribcage showing, I would want to take the poor thing in and feed her.

Remember the 80's Cindy Crawford, Tyra Banks, Linda Evangelista, Daisy Fuentes these women were all gorgeous, and HEALTHY, they were trim but did not look like they could fall over and die any minute.

Memo to the fashion industry: These are WOMEN, they have HIPS, They have BREASTS, and thats why we men (who are not gay) think they are attractive. No one is attracted to a woman with the figure of a 12 year old boy

This has got to stop, the industry is sending a very bad message to our little girls out there. That beauty is looking like the victim of a concentration camp.

Ok, sorry for the rant, that just really ticked me off!

Thanks for listening...

TJ
Thanks for this!

Oh my god, what has this world become these stupid morons. No need to feel sorry Tim, all women would love you for saying what you said. It disgusts me the way this society is to obsessed with weight. These magazines need to stop with the "air brushing" and show the true self. I'd tell Mr. Lauren where to stick it.

Yes, I wasn't really shocked or disgusted at the news because I expected something like that, I'm just disgusted at how the fasion industry thinks that they HAVE to show imaciated people because they think that is what "fat women with bags of chips in front of the TV" want to see. Yeah, also way to bash the people who buy your magazine and clothes.

You can be attractive (and sexy) at any size so long as you have clothes the flatter your best features and don't bring attention to your worst.

Remember the "fashion" model years ago that was all skin and bones? Twiggy was it? I do not see where that is attractive. I do not want to be with a woman that looks like she is ready to die.
I remember when that model was famous and the teenage girls were all starving to try to look like her.
